I've been holding on to Simplicity #3765 for a while now, waiting for an opportunity and the willpower to make something for my baby. I always make things for the munchkin, not so much for the baby!

Yesterday was the day. I went to the Quilt Shop near my house that was closing, and after being thoroughly disappointed that everyone in town had nearly cleaned it out already, I found a few fun prints :). Urban Garden by Erin Mc Morris for Moda is the top main fabric, and Eclectic by Plaids Patterns for Moda for the contrast and pants were real winners for this little ensemble.

I had to put the project on hold for a few hours because I didn't have matching thread, but eventually I got around to the details. And it is so, so cute. I used the 6 month size for my 9 month old, and there is still room to grow- the size chart said up to 18 lbs, so it will be a long, long time. But let me mention my 9-month old is in the 3rd percentile for growth. She's leeeeetle.
