Patriotic Pennant

July is a great month. It contains my favorite holiday! The 4th of July is so special to me because I believe our country is an awesome one. I am proud to be an American!!! I always read some sort of American History book leading up to the holiday to emotionally and mentally prepare, but I needed something else; something more home-decor-ish to celebrate the holiday. Red, White, and Blue, here we come!

With a triangle template, I cut out a bunch of Red, White, and Blue triangles, then sewed them together as a pennant banner. Some thick felt stars from the $1 section at JoAnns helped add a little punch to the white fabric :)

I ended up making TWO it was so awesome. It feels good to stare at this all day, even though we still have a few weeks left before the holiday. It is a good reminder of the blessed Nation we live in.

Are you proud of your country? Whatever country that may be? Show off your colors!

**I used 1/2 yard of white fabric, and a whopping 8" of all my reds and blues to make 30 pennants! My triangle was juuuuust the right size. Do you want me to scan it and let y'all use it for your own banners?**

UPDATE: Find the template HERE!
