Embroidery Hoop Ornaments

So, I’ll admit… I haven’t even brought out the Christmas Decorations box.  It is because of a combination of reasons, one being that I’ve been sick and getting sick(er) since Sunday and just don’t have the energy.

But, looking at everyone’s blogs these days really has me wishing I had everything up.  So I improvised with what I had in my craft closet to spruce up a small bit of wall.

Kirsten has been hoarding a huge bag of embroidery hoops, and I recently snatched them from her for this type of project.

Instead of framing just fun Holiday fabric, I used strips and ric-rac to make them look like ornaments.  And, it used scraps from my table runner (which still doesn’t have binding…), so it will be all matchy-matchy when I am through with this spot.

With using stuff on hand, this $0 holiday decoration totally made my day a little more cheery.  That, and another dose of DayQuil.

  1. Ok, this is by far my absolute favorite decoration idea I've seen so far. I don't have any embroidery hoops, but I'm going to have to go get some just for this!

  6. This is super cute! I just made some of these but used scrapbook paper instead of fabric.

  7. Love these! I have some of the same fabric, too. Also have some empty hoops lying around. I think I know what I'm doing this week:)
