The munchkin picked out a fat quarter of some pretty princess fabric and requested I make several items with it, including a dress for her puppy, a bag for her puppy, and a skirt for her puppy. She loves her puppy.
So I had her sit on my lap and sew up this bag using the entire fat quarter. She even helped with the buttonholes I made to pull the drawstrings through. They are totally wonky but beautiful considering they were made by a 4-year-old. She also chose her pose for this picture. She’s a goof.
We picked a pink ribbon as our drawstrings, and now she is happily toting her puppy around, along with a few friends.
We are now on the lookout for more fat quarters to make that dress and skirt :)

Aww, so nice when the kids want to get involved! I also love it that my oldest son thinks I can make anything...he just has to dream it up.
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming a stuffed puppy and not a real one?
