In our church, I am part of the Young Women Organization. Us YW leaders decided that it would be fun to do a spotlight for each girl, one every Sunday. We were discussing lotions, giant candy bars, and other store-bought Spotlight prizes, but I kept thinking about my pile of fabric that is just odds-and-ends, not really for a specific project, that was just sitting there at home.
What better use of my talent (and stacks of fabric) than to benefit the girls I am serving?? Hi zipper pouches!!
This is only the first batch of 10 (I ran out of zippers). It took me 2 hours to do all of these, including sifting through my fabric. I did the most basic of lined zipper pouches.
Personally, I’m a huge fan of the cute linings on each of these pouches. This was a goooooood fat-quarter busting project. And I have so much left! I got the zippers for cheap, so cost was super low. I hope the girls like them! It will probably help that they will be filled with candy, but whatev…
