Let’s Shake Things Up

MELANIE_13

Life gets boring sometimes.  Everything gets predictable, monotonous, etc.  And one member of our family decided it was time to bring some excitement to this party.

Baby Girl

I had a 36-week ultrasound yesterday to determine a size for this kid (for VBAC purposes), and he up and changed to a she on us.  Not that it actually physically happened, but it turns out our first ultrasound was… wrong.

It’s A Boy GIRL!

Baby Shower

So, after a lovely baby shower this past Saturday in which I was gifted the most adorable baby boy stuff, I get the wonderful opportunity to exchange everything.

But I’m not touching a thing until after this baby is out.  It might just end up being a boy again, even though this time the ultrasound tech (and the other ultrasound tech they brought in just to make sure) is absolutely certain it is a girl.  I’d post the gender photos, but that’s a little weird because it is pretty darn clear.  It is like someone said on Facebook… this kid has a sense of humor.

It is a good thing I have one too, that’s for sure.  If you are wondering, I just laughed for a really, really long time on that u/s table.  And I’m still laughing.

There’s definitely some Spice with all that Sugar.

  4. I have to admit I'm a bit jealous, I always wished that would happen to me (I have three boys)! Glad you had enough warning to get clothes and a name!

  7. Hahahahahahahaha, I'm still laughing! But you have adorable little girls, so I'm sure this one will be, too. Now I will REALLY laugh if Kirsten's ends up being a boy!

  9. That's one of my greatest fears in life, right up there with scorpions. Even when they were about to cut into me to get Audrey out, they said, "So it's a girl?" and I said, "I think so!" You just can't be too careful.

Congratulations on another princess, Melanie. Though I'm guessing you're right and she's going to be a real spitfire.

  10. Oh my word! How crazy!!! How does everyone feel about that? That would totally throw off my kids! And hubby if it was the first boy. Of course you are still thrilled either way, but still...a little adjusting!

  11. Congratulations!! Is there a girl's name that means laughter? Cause if there is, you should name her that!

Sugar and spice is very nice, lol!
