I was going to show you this awesomeness today that I concocted late last night and almost finished… when I realized ONE piece was cut wrong, and I have no leftovers of that print.
Soon. Like, as soon as the mail lady comes with the replacement fabric.

have you ever heard the saying "each quilt needs an Amish block?" If you haven't, let me explain. The Amish people feel perfection in anything is prideful, so even in their quilting they purposely mess up a block so it won't be perfect. Whenever I accidentally mess up something in my quilts I call it my Amish block and just move on. It relieves the stress I feel for messing up, and I'm able to just let it go. I understand if you are giving away or selling the qults that you want it perfect, but honestly who's going to notice other than you? It would be different if the quilting or sewing was lacking or looked like a 4 year old did it, but a fabric facing the wrong way is perfectly acceptable. Give yourself a break. And eat a piece of chocolate too!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your helpful tips. Aside from these, I also believe that a sewing machine must be regularly cleaned, even if it is not used frequently. The use of oil can also help lubricate the moving parts and keep them from getting rusted.
