Music, and a No-Sew Tree Skirt

Hey everyone, I don’t know how your week is going, but I’m still in tired-hangover mode from a crazy weekend.  I had my Christmas Concert where we had 3 sold-out halls, and we really sang/played our booties off.  If you follow me on Instagram (melcollette), you got to see a peek of me in my concert dress with gobs of make up on… and the destroyed panty hose that always happen after a concert.  I’m always glad when the concerts are over, but sad that we’re done singing Christmas music for a while.  Luckily, we have a Christmas CD- O Holy Night- that I can listen to on a regular basis and sing along with to help with the transition!  I HIGHLY recommend getting this CD this year; they make GREAT gifts too! I promise it is amazing; it has been on the top 10 Billboard chart for Classical music for three weeks running! If you listen carefully, you can hear me.  Not really, but I like knowing my voice helped make it what it is ;)

No Sew Tree Snowflake Tree Skirt

Also, I have a tutorial up today on Curbly showing how to make an easy no-sew tree skirt!  Check it out, I love how simple it was to make, and how cute it is under our tree.

See you soon!

  1. Oh that is fantastic! I love the look of this. I will have to pin the idea and use it in a couple years. Our tree is currently set up on the box for a sink we have yet to install in our home because of our adventurous 7 month old. :) I'm just going to drape red fabric over the box, and call it good. Thanks for sharing!
